Give For A Cause
With the holidays rapidly approaching, our thoughts turn to family, friends, and giving thanks. We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our supporters this past year. You have helped us to continue to fulfill our mission and serve the needs of those affected by epilepsy.
This past year in Central & South Texas alone the Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas reached out and provided information, support, and assistance to over 35,000 people with epilepsy, their families, friends, and communities. But our work is far from done. We need your support to continue our mission. Your tax-deductible donation will:
Educate a classroom of 1st graders about seizures and how to help their classmate. Provide emergency medications for the person that can’t afford their medications this month. I nform Legislators about the need to continue to fund epilepsy research and education. Lift up and support the 17 year old that feels he is alone in this world.Empower a parent to advocate for their child by teaching them to find their voice. Prepare Nurses, EMTs, & Police Officers to “do no harm” by adequately recognizing seizures. Support young adults with social activities to alleviate their fears of meeting new people. Y ield & cultivate new young leaders to advocate on Capitol Hill on behalf of youth with epilepsy.
These are only a handful of the activities and supportive services your donation will provide. ANY ONE at ANY AGE at ANY TIME can begin having seizures. Seizures rob people just one “moment” at a time, but over time they add up.
This holiday season as you contemplate what you will give thanks for remember to give thanks for the advancements in epilepsy treatment. We must continue to work to achieve our goal of “Not Another Moment Lost to Seizures”. Your continued support will give hope, dignity, and the opportunity for persons with epilepsy to live their life to the fullest.
