Support Groups

Why a Support Group? What's In It For Me?

Having epilepsy or caring for someone with epilepsy can be challenging. Sometimes the practical problems of daily living - insurance, jobs, medical care - can be overwhelming. It helps to have someone to talk to that understands what you are going through. Epilepsy support groups are designed to provide peer support, information sharing, and discussion of common interests. They may also include presentations by professionals on topics of interest. Epilepsy support groups can be:

    • A place to talk with people who know where your coming from
    • A forum to give and receive information about epilepsy and treatments
    • A place to stay informed about the latest legislation, research, and resources.

For more information about meetings or to be added to the reminder list please contact us, by email at, or by phone (210) 653-5353, toll free (888) 606-5353.
